Privacy Policy

JokeSub makes short comedy videos: jokes from other languages, adapted into English. This policy covers the website jokesub.com and the JokeSub publishing app, the tool we use to post our videos to our own social media accounts.

The website

jokesub.com has no accounts, no forms, no cookies and no analytics. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site, under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

The JokeSub publishing app

The app is used only by the JokeSub team, to upload videos we made to the JokeSub accounts on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. It is not offered to the public and does not access anyone else's account.

When we connect one of our accounts, the platform gives the app an access token. The app uses it only to:

• read the basic details of our own account (its name and ID), to show which account is connected;
• upload our videos with their title, caption and hashtags;
• read the status and link of the posts it uploaded.

Tokens and post links are stored on our private server. We don't sell or share this data, don't use it for advertising, and don't collect data about viewers, followers or commenters.

YouTube

The app uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Access can be revoked at any time on the Google security settings page.

Facebook, Instagram and TikTok

Data from these platforms is used in the same limited way. Access can be removed in Facebook under Settings → Business integrations, in Instagram under Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites, and in TikTok under Settings → Security → Manage app permissions.

Deleting data

Removing the app's access on a platform stops all further use. To have the stored tokens and post links deleted as well, email hello@jokesub.com; we delete them within 30 days.

Social media pages

When you watch, like or comment on our videos, that happens on the platform, under its own privacy policy.
